BALTIMORE (AP) Baltimore police have identified the man shot to death during a gunfight with two Baltimore County detectives who followed him into the city. The man was 39-year-old Christopher Shelton of Baltimore. Online court records show he has two convictions for armed robbery.

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) Salisbury police have made an arrest after a string of hotel robberies that prompted hotels to increase their security. Police stepped up patrols and hotels increased their security measures after four hotel robberies this week.
