
With tough budget negotiations looming in Montgomery County, Maryland, county executive Isaiah Leggett is trying to garner the support of council members.
During his state of the county address, Leggett announced the projected budget deficit for next fiscal year is more than $600 million. One of Leggett's proposals to raise money is to charge ambulance user fees. County council president Nancy Floreen says the fees are very unpopular with council members, and won't raise much money.
