WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) The College of William and Mary is increasing tuition by $300 for the spring semester. The school's Board of Visitors approved the increase for undergraduate, graduate business and law school students yesterday. It's the first midyear tuition increase at William and Mary in six years.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) The University of Mary Washington is increasing its tuition to help offset drastic state funding cuts. The Board of Visitors at the public university in Fredericksburg voted yesterday to increase tuition by $100 per full-time student to raise an estimated $435,000.

DINWIDDIE, Va. (AP) The star herself was not on board, but one of Miley Cyrus' tour buses overturned on a highway in Virginia yesterday morning. State police say one person was killed and another was taken to a local hospital with what are described as minor injuries after the bus struck an embankment and rolled over.
