Democrats Expected to Hold Northern Virginia

On Election Day, Democrats are expected to maintain their dominance in Northern Virginia. But that doesn't mean they won't face opposition. Larry Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, says Republicans in Arlington and Alexandria are facing odds that are all-but-impossible. To win a statewide election, Sabato says, Democrats need at least 70 percent of the vote in Arlington and Alexandria.
