Final Virginia Governor Debate Tonight

Play associated audio

The two men vying to become the next governor of Virginia are preparing to debate one last time. The last of four debates between Democrat Creigh Deeds and Republican Bob McDonnell comes two weeks before election day.

Deeds is trailing in the polls, but has been buoyed by a Washington Post endorsement and McDonnell's response to questions about global warming last weekend. Deeds will also enter the debate after campaigning earlier in the day with former President Bill Clinton in the Washington metropolitan area.

Tonight's debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. It will be at Roanoke College in Salem. The event will be televised in southwestern Virginia and will also be streamed live on-line.
