The Washington Convention and Sports Authority says D.C. will become a hotbed of high profile sporting events.
The organization was created from the merger of the old Convention Center Authority and the Sports and Entertainment Commission. Spokesman Erik Moses says D.C.'s tourism industry will get a boost in promoting D.C. as a sports town. The Convention and Sports Authority is currently promoting December's Eagle Bank Bowl at RFK stadium.

Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division dealing with nonprofits seeking tax-exempt status, will not testify on Wednesday despite a congressional subpoena, her attorney says. She is accused of closely scrutinizing conservative groups that sought tax-exempt status.NPR
Microsoft Reveals New Xbox One Game System
