Baltimore is investigating dozens of city vehicles that may have been disabled by tainted fuel.
Sixty-eight Baltimore government cars in total stalled or wouldn't start. Almost all of them were police cars. The city suspects gas tainted with diesel is to blame, from a single fueling station used by government vehicles.
That station has been shut down, but not before almost 400 vehicles filled up there in the past few days. Police department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says it has been somewhat cumbersome for the department, as vehicles have had to be moved from administrative duties, but says public safety has not been impacted.
The city is waiting for test results to find out what tainted the fuel.
