Three investigations into Montgomery County's tuition assistance program for workers are under way.

The investigations started over the summer. There were reports some county police officers and sheriff's deputies were using the program to take a class that allowed them to buy firearms at deeply discounted prices.

County attorney Leon Rodriguez is leading one of the investigations. The county's inspector general and the sheriff's office are also conducting inquiries.
