Maryland Names New Transportation Secretary

Maryland has a new transportation secretary. Beverly Swaim-Staley will take over for John Porcari, who left to take a position at the federal department of transportation.

Governor Martin O'Malley says Swaim-Staley's job is more than just new roads and rail lines. One of the state's largest environmental groups says the Maryland's department of transportation is still well behind when it comes to stopping pollution.
