The Eleventh Hour: D.C. Connection to Senator Kennedy's Endorsement of President Obama

One of the Senator's last and some might argue most memorable presentations was right here at American University.

It was late January 2008. Hungry for a high profile endorsement, candidate Barack Obama's team hoped for any sign of blessing from Senator Ted Kennedy....so did Obama's opponent, Hillary Clinton. The Clinton's long relationship with the Senator seemed to make Mrs. Clinton a shoo-in for the endorsement. At the eleventh hour, Kennedy decided to support Obama, announcing his decision on the campus of American University on the 28th of January.
