Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival celebrates its 4th annual all-day local music, food and arts festival on Saturday, April 27, sponsored by Events DC. Come join the best local bluegrass bands for a day of music, food and drinks on Kingman Island to celebrate the revitalization of the Anacostia River with some good ole bluegrass pickin' and stompin'.
The Festival includes seven hours (1 to 8 p.m.) of performances from local bluegrass bands, food from D.C. food trucks, beer from Sierra Nevada, bike giveaways, tours of the island from BicycleSPACE, local music busking stages, a children's area with crafts and games, and a free shuttle to the island from Stadium/Armory Metro Station. The event is free, but organizers are asking that suggested donation be made, which will go toward Living Classrooms, a non-profit that manages the Island and provides environmental education to children in the D.C. metro area.
Suggested Donation $10 per person
