Door To Door At D.C. Public Library

Saturday, May 19, 2012 @1:00pm

Record your story about the place you call home from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 19 at Southeast Library. Come with family and friends, photographers, and your stories.

Your interview may air on WAMU 88.5's Metro Connection, and all recordings will be archived at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library in the Washingtoniana Division for years to come.

Funded through the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Door To Door at D.C. Public Library brings us inside the neighborhoods that make up our diverse city.

We talk with residents about the history, geography, and culture of their communities, and find out what makes them unique. Most interviews will take around 15 minutes. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you would like to reserve a specific time slot, call Laura Gonzales, 202-698-3377.
