Capital Fringe Festival
Thursday, July 11, 2013 - Sunday, July 28, 2013
The fun, fantastical and fabulous Capital Fringe Festival returns for its eighth year of independent theatre, live music and un-classifiable performances. This year’s untamed and unique offerings range from one act plays, comedies, musicals, dramas and dance to puppetry, improvisation, clowns, hip-hop, poetry, mime and more. In addition, much merriment and revelry is to be had at the Baldacchino Gypsy Tent Bar at Fort Fringe, where viewers and fanatics alike can enjoy even more live local music than ever before, food, drinks and pulled BBQ pork, and catch the latest buzz about all of the Fringe performances.
Capital Fringe is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in the summer of 2005 with the purpose of infusing energy into performing arts in the Washington, DC region through our annual Fringe Festival and year-round Fringe Training Factory. Capital Fringe’s vigorous programs ensure the growth and continued health of the local and regional performing arts community by helping artists become independent producers while stimulating the vibrant cultural landscape in our city. Our mission is to connect exploratory artists with adventurous audiences by creating outlets and spaces for creative, cutting-edge, and contemporary performance in the District.
