2014 Library of Congress National Book Festival

The 14th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Author Pavilions

From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., more than 100 authors, illustrators and poets will make presentations in pavilions dedicated to Children, Teens, Picture Books, Contemporary Life, Culinary Arts, Fiction & Mystery, History & Biography, Poetry & Prose, Science and Special Programs.

Evening Programming

Special evening activities begin at 6 p.m. with a Poetry Slam, a Graphic Novels Super Session and a Great Books to Great Movies panel featuring Paul Auster, E.L. Doctorow, Alice McDermott and Lisa See.
