SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that helps the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. To meet the immediate daily needs of the people they serve, SOME provides food, clothing, a shower facility, and healthcare. More than 1,000 meals are served each day in the dining room and in rehabilitative programs. SOME helps to break the cycle of homelessness by offering additional services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. SOME believes in empowering the people they serve by respecting their human dignity and by helping them to restore hope in their lives.
