Alexandria Symphony Orchestra’s Children’s Arts Festival

On Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m., take a solar journey with the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra as they present their 2012 Children’s Arts Festival, Cosmic Quest, at T. C. Williams High School in Alexandria. Choose from one of two concerts at 2:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., featuring selections from Holst’s Planets symphony. Children are also encouraged to participate in various art, music, and movement projects including an instrument petting zoo, yoga, art stations, reading centers, and hand bell demonstrations. The whole family can join in for $5 per person. Tickets may be purchased online at www.alexsym.org or by calling 703-548-0885.
