Art Without Borders at The Goldman Art Gallery

Beginning Sunday, February 19 and running through Sunday, March 18, the Goldman Art Gallery at the JCC of Greater Washington presents “Art Without Borders: A Celebration of Humanity,” featuring works by JAMmARTt (Jews and Muslims Making Art Together), an initiative to build interaction, respect and understanding between local Muslim and Jewish communities through the joint creation of a public work of art.

JAMmARTt is a group of Jewish and Muslim artists who came together in 2008 with the goal of forging interaction, respect, and understanding between our communities through the creation of art together. The focus of the exhibition is the shared installation that the group created. It is surrounded by artwork made by the individual artists involved, as well as by other Jewish and Muslim artists who joined the project later.  For more information please contact Phyllis Altman at paltman@jccgw.org or 301-348-3770
