Call for Docents at Supreme Court of the United States

The Curator’s Office at the Supreme Court is recruiting qualified docents who enjoy public speaking and assisting visitors to conduct public programs, lead tours, and staff an information desk. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, be comfortable speaking to large groups of people of all ages and backgrounds, and be willing to commit to one 3 hour shift per week for one year. All new docents must attend 25 hours of mandatory training in late February. Individuals with Spanish language skills are encouraged to apply.

Top candidates will be invited to interview with the Visitor Programs staff. Final selection is subject to successful completion of a security background check. Please call (202) 479-3298 to request an application, or visit the Supreme Court’s Website at supremecourt.gov. Applications for the February training are being accepted through January 20, 2012.
