Meymo Lyons brings 27 years of experience in broadcast news to WAMU 88.5. Meymo served 8 years as news director, anchor, and reporter at radio station WITL in Lansing Mich., where she earned The Associated Press "Top Ten Contributor" award for seven consecutive years. The station earned more than 40 awards from the AP and Michigan Association of Broadcasters under Lyons' leadership. Most recently, Lyons was the assignments editor at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Mich., and before that the managing editor at WILX-TV in Lansing, Mich. Lyons served 13 years as a member of The Associated Press Association of Michigan, and was president of the board for five years.
