Tax Deal Reached In '86, So Why Not Now?

Weekend Edition Saturday host Scott Simon speaks with former New Jersey Sen. Bill Bradley about the current negotiations in Washington over the federal budget. As a senator, Bradley, a Democrat, helped lead negotiations over the bipartisan Tax Reform Act of 1986. Bradley says Washington has become increasingly partisan, but he believes members of Congress will be able to make a last-minute deal to avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff."
