Public Insight Network
Connecting enterprising journalists with knowledgeable sources.

The Public Insight Network at WAMU 88.5 News allows you to share your experience directly with our newsroom. Whether it's your profession, your neighborhood or your hobbies - you have knowledge and insights that can help us cover the news with more depth and unearth stories that we might not otherwise hear about. Become a Public Insight source and you can help shape WAMU 88.5 News' coverage. You might provide new angles on stories we're covering or provide us with new ideas. Our reporters may follow up to ask for more information and perhaps even call you for an interview.

As a source for the Public Insight Network you can expect:

1
We'll send out short questionnaires looking for background information and sources for stories we're working on, but we won't overwhelm your inbox. If you ever need to unsubscribe, send us an email with "unsubscribe me" in the subject of your email.
2
An occasional follow-up. If you're a fit for a story, our editors and reporters will contact you by phone or email.
3
Confidentiality. We won't quote you (on-air or online) without your permission. We also won't ever use your information to seek donations or sell your information to a third party.
4
A direct line to the WAMU 88.5 newsroom. While WAMU 88.5 News accepts ideas and pitches from everyone, joining the Public Insight Network will expedite our communication and let you know about specific stories we're reporting on.
5
To have an impact. You'll not only inform WAMU 88.5 News reporters and editors, but other newsrooms in the Public Insight Network as well.
