Resident political analyst Jonetta Rose Barras is leaving WAMU 88.5. Since 2002, Barras has provided analysis and commentary on The Politics Hour with Kojo and Jonetta at noon, Fridays, on WAMU 88.5.
The weekly local political round-up now will be called The Politics Hour, and the show’s host, Kojo Nnamdi, will be joined by guest analysts until a new political analyst is hired. The long-running program features interviews with local news-makers and delves beyond the headlines to help listeners understand how government actions affect their lives. Following the axiom that "all politics is local," The Politics Hour allows listeners to hear from — and speak with — the region's elected officials, community activists, and business leaders.
