88.3 Ocean City: Helping disabled citizens remain independent in Delaware

Delmarva Community Services, Inc. is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing the supports people need to remain independent in their community. Individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, senior citizens, transportation dependent persons and many other individuals benefit from the organization’s variety of programs. The Community Action Center serves as a resource hub for individuals requiring food assistance, foreclosure counseling, or budgeting courses. Respite care provides an opportunity for caregivers to take a break from caring for their sick or disabled loved ones while they run errands and visit appointments.The home-delivered meals program brings freshly prepared meals to homes of senior citizens Monday through Friday. Delmarva Community Services serves clients in in Dorchester, Talbot, Caroline and Kent Counties in Maryland, as well as some counties in Delaware.
