WAMU’s Bluegrass Country adds new programming to weekend lineup

On Saturday, March 3, WAMU’s Bluegrass Country will implement changes to its weekend schedule.

WAMU’s Bluegrass Country will introduce three new shows to its Saturday programming lineup. Irish Heartbeat, a live performance show featuring a variety of Irish talent as well as international guest artists, will air at 7 p.m., ET. RootsWorld, an hour-long tour of roots and modern music from around the world, will air at 8 p.m., ET. At 9 p.m., the station will air Americana Breakdown, a program highlighting a mix of bluegrass, country, country rock, and Americana music.

The programs that previously aired in these time slots will move to Sunday evenings. etown will be broadcast at 7 p.m., ET, followed by American Routes at 8 p.m., ET, and Mountain Stage at 10 p.m., ET.
