(July 13-29) Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley, and Lurch
Everyone’s family is a little weird, right? Well, maybe some are more weird than others. The Addams Family drops by The Kennedy Center this month for a few weeks of musical theater. Everything changes for Wednesday and her kin on the fateful night they host a dinner for the not-so-weird boy’s family.
(July 13) Draw & Discover at Dusk!
If you’re not too afraid of the dark there’s an opportunity to hone your sketching skills tonight at the American Art Museum. Draw & Discover at Dusk! invites amateurs and budding masters to get together and sketch the night away with some pointers from a pro.
(July 13-29) All the world’s a mask
Washington artist Susan Makara is really into masks. Her latest exhibit of work at Alexandria’s Target Gallery is centered around paintings and sketches of them and the people who wear them, which - in her opinion - is everyone. The work is showing through July 29.
